Warbirds of the Collings Foundation

I recently viewed some great living history. The Collings Foundation, a group which believes in the preservation of old aircraft, brought three of their WWII aircraft into Eppley airfield. They parked a B-24, B-17 and P-51 at the Tac-Air facility for viewing and rides. It was a great photo opportunity. Among the viewers were two men who piloted the B-24 in combat. It was an honor to shake their hands.

Question

How does our legislative branch work? Lately I have been listening to the news coming out of Washington about these gigantic (a thousand or more pages) bills coming before our congressman; namely the stimulus bill, which passed, apparently unread, and now the health care bill which apparently is too big to read in the time allowed.
So if the congressmen and senators don’t know the specifics of these proposed laws who writes them?

The Big Sky by A.B. Gutherie

The Big Sky is a book by A. B. Guthrie written in 1947. I recall seeing the movie which was based on the novel. However, it was much shorter in scope and to my way of thinking, did not do justice to the characters or the book in general.
